The Guide
As the story goes, Michael Jordan never wanted Nikes in the first place, he favoured Adidas. Thankfully for us Nike offered him a lot more money and the Air Jordan was born. They didn't go down well at first - the NBA banned them as non-regulation and Nike paid a fine for Jordan every time he wore them.
Luckily the NBA eventually backed down and the iconic shoe continues to evolve today. The Nike/MJ partnership has even moved into other collabs including with rapper Eminem and luxury brands such as Dior and Off-White.
With over 30 official Air Jordans (never mind colours, collabs, and commissions), we thought we'd put together a quick visual guide so you know just what you're looking for.
